OUTDOOR FIRES – ORDINANCE 4-1-2(D)
Outdoor fires in the City of Lake Mills for the purpose of burning garbage, household trash, scrap building materials and yard waste (to include grass, leaves, branches, branch clippings, and brush) is prohibited
GARBAGE CANS – ORDINANCE 4-3-18(A)
All cans containing garbage or refuse must be placed at the curb in front of the residence from which the collection is being made not earlier than 6:00 P.M. on the day preceding pick-up day and not later than 6:00 A.M. on pick-up day and such cans, after the contents there of are picked up by the contractor, must be removed from the curb not later than 8:00 A.M. the following day.
CURFEW – ORDINANCE 5-1-8(A)
Weekdays: No person under the age of eighteen (18) years shall be at large upon the streets and roads or elsewhere within the City between the hours of ten-thirty o’clock (10:30) P.M. and six o’clock (6:00) A.M. on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday and between twelve o’clock (12:00) midnight and six o’clock (6:00) A.M. on Friday or Saturday, except that such person may lawfully be so at large if he or she is:
SNOW AND ICE REMOVAL – ORDINANCE 7-1-6
The owner, occupant, or person in charge of each lot or part of lot shall, as soon as practicable, and within twenty-four (24) hours after cessation of the storm depositing snow or ice, remove or cause to be removed such snow or ice from the abutting sidewalks. When ice has so formed upon any sidewalk that it cannot be removed, the person herein referred to shall keep the same sprinkled with ashes, sawdust or sand in such a way as to prevent the same from being dangerous.
WINTER PARKING – ORDINANCE 6-3-3
NIGHT PARKING PROHIBITED: No person shall park a vehicle on any streets between one o’clock (1:00) A.M. and five o’clock (5:00) A.M. during the months of December, January, February, and March of any year.
